Manchester United return to action this weekend for the first time since their Champions League exit
Manchester United Women boss Marc Skinner wants the pain of their midweek Champions League exit to PSG to inspire domestic success as the Reds prepare to visit Everton in the Women's Super League.
“I’ve been really happy with the performance," he said. "What I'm asking for is that the players are ruthless. If I take the result aside for a second, the second-half performance against PSG, to take it to them to out-possess them and we should’ve scored right? It was a goal, we’ve got an apology from the officials - it's still not good enough but we can score. We create chances, we hit the post.
United are unbeaten against Everton in all eight league games in the top tier - winning six and drawing twice. Last time out, Everton held the Reds to a goalless draw in February 2023 at Leigh Sports Village, the only WSL clean sheet the Toffee’s have kept against United to date. “We’ve just played PSG, who have some of the best players in Europe and we've got to go and put that performance onto Everton. If we get to that level then we’ve shown we can beat anybody in this league.
