The Chase returned to our screens on Thursday evening, but it was touch and go for one contestant who Bradley almost sent home
Bradley Walsh, the host of The Chase, was on the verge of ending one contestant's game early in Thursday's episode. Rumun, a Manchester resident, revealed his occupation, which left Bradley stunned.
In an awkward moment, Bradley almost didn't allow the 23 year old to participate in the quiz after learning about his day job. Rumun declared: "I'm a tax advisor Brad", prompting Bradley to joke: "And for you The Chase is over." The Dark Destroyer quipped: "Well you're a tax advisor and a County fan, you do a lot of accounting for losses then." Rumun laughed and responded: "Good one", before proceeding with the quiz.
Although the episode of the ITV quiz show was entertaining, fans were vexed by suspicions that the show might have been a "repeat." Annoyed viewers took to social media, with one commenting: "I thought I'd seen it before? " while another said: "Just tuned in and just tuned out again it must be about 10 yrs old."
