'I've already grown up to be a terrible snob, so really there's nothing to hide.'
However, Hegerty did reveal this was not the first time she was being made privy of this information.
Her own grandmother had once shared this part of her family history with her. But, with her being a known"romancer", young Hegerty had refused to believe her."My aunt said she was a romancer and she'd embroider life a bit, so I always felt that anything from my grandmother had to be taken with a pinch of salt."
It was revealed that the relation came from her mother's side. One of her ancestors had married the King's daughter Princess Elizabeth back in 1370.
