The Crown season 6: First look at Prince William and Princess of Wales actors have been revealed

The season will also cover the final summer of Princess Diana's life.

We can also see what looks like one of their first conversations on campus. Above all, the return of the bootcut jeans are a serious vibe.

Prince William will be played by two different actors, Rufus Kampa – who will portray him at 15, in the aftermath of the death of his mother – and Ed McVey, who will cover his university years onwards. This will mark the onscreen debut for all three actors: Bellamy, Kampa and McVey.'s life, before her tragic death on 31 August 1997 in a car crash in Paris's Pont de l'Alma tunnel. But the actual moment itself will not be covered.

Due to the fact that this distressing scene would be too much for many viewers, sources told Deadline that we're likely to see “the car leaving The Ritz after midnight with paparazzi in pursuit and then the aftermath with the British Ambassador to France swinging into action with the Foreign Office and then the subsequent constitutional aftermath”.

While we aren't due to see the crash on screen, Netflix has been hit with controversy after pictures have emerged of a wrecked replica of the Mercedes S-class that was transporting both Princess Diana and her companion Dodi Fayed at the time of the crash. While Netflix has reassured that the crash itself will not be shown, fans have come out divided over the depiction of the accident altogether, with one calling the recreation of the car wreckage “sick”. It's definitely a sensitive subject for many.
