Summary SCREENRANT VIDEO OF THE DAY SCROLL TO CONTINUE WITH CONTENT The Curse season 2 gets an unexpected update following the show's wild and divisive finale. Consisting of ten episodes, and debuting on Showtime in November 2023, The Curse is created by Nathan Fielder, known for Nathan For You and HBO's The Rehearsal, and Uncut Gems co-director Benny Safdie, with Emma Stone as an executive producer.
FIELDER: Benny and I really want to make stuff that people can engage with. There’s the type of TV where you can sit on the couch and be on your phone half the time, which is fine. I watch that TV, too. But we wanted to try to make something where you have to engage with it to understand it and you’re feeling things when you’re watching it. It’s hard to talk about, too, because it’s a show where a story could potentially continue, so I don’t want to go fully into it.
The Curse season 2 could explore different avenues given its absurdist nature. While the show does follow a narrative, it is willing to take chances with its storytelling. With the birth of the baby and Asher's death happening at the same time, Asher could return through reincarnation. Such a bizarre story could be why Fielder does not want to spoil if Asher returns.
