Our hearts are breaking over here Roy Cropper’s life falls apart completely in Coronation Street next week as he is charged with Lauren Bolton’s murder. Roy was arrested shortly after Lauren went missing. For investigating officer DS Swain , she thought Roy’s comments about helping Lauren were a little too good to be true, and that he was probably hiding something. In the aftermath, Roy has faced a torrid of abuse from members of the public who believe he played a part in Lauren’s disappearance.
However, he fails to notice the man picking up a brick and later, Stu returns to Speed Daal covered in blood. Back in the cafe, Roy reels in shock as Evelyn discovers that Hayley’s son, Christian, has posted some hurtful things about him and Hayley online. Roy’s emotions bubble over Later, Lauren’s mum Kerry calls at the cafe and introduces herself to Roy and Nina.
