Developer Embark Studios hints at significant weapon adjustments coming soon in The Finals, addressing fan requests for balance updates after a relatively quiet Season 5. During a recent livestream, Oscar revealed that the team has been reviewing various weapons and the overall Cashout game mode, promising changes in patch 5.8.0.
The Finals Season 5 has been a lot of fun, but there has been a lack of significant balance changes throughout pretty much the whole chapter. Update 5.7.0 was basically just a store rotation, meanwhile, other updates were more based on LTM events celebrating Christmas and Lunar New Year. Fortunately, for fans yearning balance changes, The Finals dev has teased that big updates are coming soon for a “whole bunch of weapons”.

Although not willing to give anything away, Oscar said, “we’ve looked at a whole bunch of weapons”. The developer also said, “We’ve looked at Cashout overall”.
