“Going to school there was a picture of the Queen, this lovely-looking lady in a frame on the wall, and every morning we sang. “I didn’t really understand, when I heard ‘reign over us’, I thought it was going to rain.”The words of the Australian anthem changed toin the 1970s. However, after moving to Britain some years ago, Ms Ramsey got the chance once again to sing the words, this time among the crowds in London for the Queen’s Diamond Jubilee in 2012.
