Thousands of people attend the event each month - which includes a range of food and drink and live music
For the last three years, I have been an avid attendee of the food and drink festival ‘ Stockport Foodie Friday’, which takes place in the town on the last Friday of every month.
This year, their Christmas Foodie Friday took place on December 20, hosting street food vendors and artists. He added: “I try to have as many locally based traders as I can, and would say we have 60% of traders from Stockport, we do get some who come from further afield too”. Everywhere you walk you can smell food, which makes choosing from a specific vendor especially hard, but if you are like me, you will end up testing quite a few, and be left feeling very satisfied.
He said: "Foodie Friday helps us as a bar, let alone as a food trader at the market. It spills onto the Underbank as well and helps all surrounding areas” he said.Due to their venue being in a market hall, they can give opportunities to teenage bands, where they can play a slot on the night.He said: “I get to see all the young bands coming through Stockport, but people also know what we do and ask if their son or daughter can play.
