Here’s what the Seahawks and Commanders did with the draft picks they exchanged in the Sam Howell trades.
When the Seattle Seahawks acquired backup quarterback Sam Howell from the Washington Commanders, a total of four draft picks were swapped. Seattle gave up one of its third-rounders and a fifth-rounder to Washington, who sent the Seahawks a fourth- and sixth-round pick. With the 2024 NFL Draft done and dusted and picks made, we can now tally what both teams got out of the trade.
Meanwhile, the Commanders turned both picks from the Seahawks into a big trade within the second round that allowed them to get an extra second-rounder from the Philadelphia Eagles. Washington moved down from No. 40, got No. 50 and 53 from Philadelphia, and used those second-rounders on Michigan cornerback Mike Sainristil and Kansas State tight end Ben Sinnott.
