October may be behind us, but one creepy old Scottish jail is hosting an overnight ghost hunt that looks far more scary than anything you are likely to come across on Halloween.
Halloween may be the spookiest holiday, but Scotland is home to countless supposedly haunted sites where paranormal activity is reported throughout the year.
Taking place at the Old Town Jail in Stirling, which organisers Haunting Nights Ghost Hunts describe as "one of Scotland’s most Unforgiving Victorian prisons", the event on November 4 will see participants go in search of the spirits said to call the jail their home. Unexplained dark shadows, the sounds of children crying and bodies being dragged down corridors, and various poltergeist-like activity has been reported inside the building — as well as some visitors even being touched with no explanation.
