As the chilly winter winds start to warm up and blue skies become more frequent, many folks are keen to reconnect with the great outdoors. A waterfall always makes for a lovely backdrop for a walk and picnic.
It's important to remember that whenever you go for a hike in the Peak District, you should familiarise yourself with the route, bring the right gear and clothes, and know who to contact in case of emergencies. Derbyshire Live, which first reported the walk, loves sharing some of the best spots in the national park for you to discover, but they urge everyone to do so safely.
From the reservoir, you head up Crossgate Lane until you pass a farm - where you might see a peacock wandering around - and reach a T-junction. Turn left onto Arnfield Lane and stroll for about 300m until you get to Gamekeeper Cottage.
