The band spoke exclusively with the ECHO ahead of their performance at Liverpool Celebrates Festival
The Jacksons explained why performing in Liverpool will always have a special place in their heart. Jackie, Marlon and Tito will arrive on Merseyside later this month to perform as part of the Liverpool Celebrates Music Festival. The band will headline the festival on the Pier Head on August 24. The band shot to stardom as part of the Jackson 5 with hits such as I Want You Back, ABC and Blame It On The Boogie.
The party atmosphere generated in a once in a lifetime gig summed up what makes Liverpool special and Jackie Jackson said nobody knows their music quite like Scousers. He said: 'Liverpool is a fantastic city with a huge music history and we can't wait to get on stage. It is going to be great playing here. It is exciting.' Jackie, Marlon and Tito reunited in 2012 and the opportunity to perform together will always feel special.
