L'Oreal Paris has just launched its Karl Lagerfeld make-up collection, full of eyeliner, lipstick and palettes
– one of fashion’s most influential creators, boldly stepped into the world of beauty before his death early last year. Initiating the project, Lagerfeld collaborated with L’Oréal Paris to create the mother of all make-up collections that fuses Parisian elegance with his iconic rock-chic style.
‘This line of makeup truly reflects the KARL LAGERFLED brand universe and what Karl loved in makeup – he often used eyeshadows as colours in his sketches,’ said Caroline Lebar, Head of Image and Communication at Maison KARL LAGERFLED. A spokesperson for L’Oréal Paris informed Grazia that Karl Lagerfeld drew the initial ideas and the monochrome stand-out packaging, before L’Oréal Paris worked with his team to finalise the products.
‘For L’Oréal Paris, all of our fashion designer collaborations are an honour, but this one is particularly meaningful,’ stated Delphine Viguier, L’Oréal Paris Global Brand President. ‘While Karl upturned the hierarchy of the landscape to democratise fashion, L’Oréal Paris is committed to making beauty according to women’s own rules and desires.
The collection includes six runway-worthy lipsticks spanning from rich plum to the most perfect nude , super-slick liquid liners full of leather-like lustre in a deep black and sultry metallic , a bold mascara bursting with bristles to channel your inner rock-chic , the most beautiful eyeshadow palette and a peachy highlighter to showcase your glow .
