The L'Oréal Paris Lumi Le Liquid Blush is the viral product we've been hearing so much about! GLAMOUR beauty editors put it to the test and loved the results.
With new beauty formulas launching every day, it's rare that the entire GLAMOUR team gets excited over one new product. However, the L'Oréal Paris Lumi Le Liquid Blush has us united. After blowing up on TikTok at the end of last year, we couldn't wait to get our hands on the shades and test out whether the newly-crowned viral blusher was really worth the hype.
Available in six shades with either a glowy or dewy finish, it promises to fall into the same effortless makeup category as dewy skin tints and melt-into-skin bronzers. The high street has been slow to catch-up to high-end liquid blush formulas, but we reckon we finally have a worthy contender – and the best bit? It's less than a tenner. Here's what the team thought when we tried out the L'Oréal Paris Lumi Le Liquid Blush…\The Product: Lian, GLAMOUR's Senior Audience Development Manager Shade: 635 Dewy Worth It Liquid blush is always my preference for a more natural, dewy finish, so I was excited to try L’Oréal’s Lumi blush, especially after having seen it all over TikTok. Using the shade ‘Worth It’, I applied a couple of small dots with the doe-foot applicator, blending it out for a sun-kissed, radiant look. On application I fell in love with the warm reddish yet golden pigment of the shade, with the formula blending out easily and feeling lightweight on. Though definitely a buildable blush, because of how pigmented it is I found a little went a long way, with two dots being ample while still allowing my own skin to shine through. As one of their ‘glowy’ blushes from the range, the shade ‘Worth It’ features an added level of shimmer for maximum impact, though it’s subtle enough that it gives a stunning natural finish and true lit-from-within effect. Overall I loved the life this blush breathed into my face, with the final look being that of a flattering flush which was breathable yet lasted well through the day. I would definitely reach for this again and can’t wait to try out the other shades. Rating: 8/10\Elle, GLAMOUR's Senior Beauty Editor Shade: 625 Glowy Gold Pink I'm a bit of a blush snob. I love a liquid blusher, but having got to try dozens through my job, it's clear that not all of them are made equal. Whilst I have no problem finding mascaras and even foundations that I like on the high street, so far the drugstore has been slow to challenge the higher-end liquid blush formulas that I like. L'Oreal Lumi is the first that's ticked every box. The shade range is beautiful. My favourite, 625 Gold Pink, is a stunning coral-y pink tone shot with warm gold shimmer that brings serious glow and doubles as a blusher-highlighter hybrid. I can't wait to wear in the sunshine, but, for the winter months it brings the pep that my complexion craves. As for the formula, it doesn't go patchy or disturb the makeup beneath like other liquid blushers I've tried. It blends flawlessly and brings in compliments. Love her. Rating: 10/10\Fiona, GLAMOUR's Associate Beauty Director Shade: 630 Glowy True Rose My biggest gripe with liquid blushes is that they often feel watery on application. I've been converted by the Lumi Liquid Blush as the gel-like consistency gives you plenty of control while also being super easy to blend out. As someone with combination skin I was impressed with the pigment payoff – it doesn't budge and a little goes a long way. I chose the shade True Rose, which imparted a peachy glow to the cheeks that perked up a winter complexion and will be a go-to for looking effortlessly sun-kissed in summer. Rating: 9/10\Robyn, GLAMOUR's Social Media Manager Shade: 645 Glowy Cool Berry This blush gives me a glow I simply can’t get enough of. The rich, deep pigment of shade Cool Berry blends like a dream into my makeup, creating the perfect balance of a natural flush and glow. Instead of sparkle or shimmer, the Lumi blush delivers a soft, lit-from-within sheen that feels effortlessly chic and incredibly wearable. It didn’t take long for this gem to find its place in my makeup bag, replacing my powder blush in my everyday routine. Rating: 10/10\Emily, GLAMOUR's Associate Social Media Manager Shade: 627 Glowy Warm Peach I’m usually a powder blush girl, so I never thought I’d be into liquid blush. But the L’Oréal Lumi Liquid Blush totally changed my mind. The formula is amazingly non-sticky, which was a huge dealbreaker for me with other liquid blushes. I love how lightweight it feels on the skin – it's almost like you're not wearing anything at all. The peachy glow it gives is so natural and fresh, making it perfect for an everyday, dewy look. It blends effortlessly, and I can build it up for more colour without it feeling heavy or cakey. This has definitely become a new staple in my makeup routine.
