It has just started absolutely tipping it down, the welcome spring sunshine moments earlier replaced by imposing grey clouds. But the smiles on faces have not been washed away with the rain - or put anyone off going about their day on a typical late Thursday morning in Barndoldswick.

Sit in the window at one of the cafes in the square, or grab a table outside if the weather gods are being kind as local greet each other with a warm "eh up" and knowing nod.
