Leeds Council inspectors have told two schools to make improvements
Nationwide, more than 100 schools have received lowly food standards ratings, according to information posted by local councils on the Scores on the Doors website.
Across Yorkshire as a whole, 12 schools have been judged to have unsatisfactory food hygiene ratings, many of them due to the general cleanliness and condition of their buildings. In Doncaster, Outwood Danum Academy in Armthorpe Road, Wheatley Hills was given a one-star rating on May 26, 2022. Food hygiene was said to be 'generally satisfactory' but a 'major improvement' was needed in management.
Langton Primary in Malton was given a two-star rating on July 18, 2023, due to improvements needed in structural compliance. Food hygiene was rated 'good'.
