The Life-Changing Practice That Will Help You Feel More GratitudeDelgado is a Wallace Stegner fellow at Stanford University and a 2022 National Endowment for the Arts recipient. She is working on a collection of short stories and a novel.spent the first long months of the pandemic in suburban Maryland alone and away from my family. The world beyond my door became a stream of timelines, a social media cascade of triumphs and accomplishments.
As a forgetful, easily distracted person, I have always found comfort in lists. Lists of errands to run, emails to return, books to read.
