launches its second edition in Asia at the Tokyo Camões, Embassy of Portugal on July 6, Thursday. Asia program opens to the public on July 8, Saturday, at the PAROLA-UP Fine Arts Gallery at the University of the Philippines, Diliman, Quezon City, from 11 AM to 3 PM.
The launch activities include a sound bath by artist Anjeline de Dios, a performance from multidisciplinary art collective Elemento, and a walkthrough with the exhibiting artists and curator.” playfully borrows its title from the Filipino utterance “mata kasi ang gamitin, ‘wag bibig!” . It gathers works from 25 artists from different regions selected by the Biennial’s five curators: Brandon LaBelle , Rayya Badran , Guely Morato , Luísa Santos , and Dayang Yraola .
Installed across different sites at the venue are the second and third sections of the exhibition titled “
