It's full of weaver's cottages
A picturesque Yorkshire village which has been dubbed 'little Italy' is less than an hour's drive from Manchester.

One of which now houses the Colne Valley museum, which displays hand weaving and spinning, as well as a gas-lit cobbler's shop. Visitors can purchase the clogs made on the premises.
However, one local resident Anne Hodge, who moved to Golcar from Linthwaite disagrees and said that she was welcomed to the village "with open arms." "It's a lovely place to live, there's great community spirit and everyone is really friendly. It's described as a little Italy because all of the original weavers cottages were built to face the sun and of course the views of the Colne Valley as well."
