As millions head to France ahead of the Olympics, a warning has been issued Brits heading to the Olympics this year via car could end up with a hefty fine and points on their licence if they don’t know this law in France. As the summer holidays approach and with the Paris Olympics on the horizon, British motorists planning to drive in France are being urged to familiarise themselves with local driving laws.
‘In France, this is not just unsafe but illegal. Being caught can result in a fine of 135 euros and three points on your licence.’ In addition to the headphone ban, there are other French road laws that British drivers might overlook, including the mandatory display of an emissions sticker, known as the Crit’Air vignette, on your vehicle. This sticker indicates the vehicle’s emissions levels and is essential for driving in certain low-emission zones aimed at improving air quality.
