DEL RIO — Lupe Felan looked out at the crowd of Del Rio residents from a small stage in front of what used to be San Felipe High School . No doubt he felt a good 70 years younger. In 1957, a teenage Felan and four other San Felipe Mustangs won the Texas high school golf championship, a decisive victory by a combined 35 strokes.
Garcia plays part in 'Midsummer Sueño' Starring Jay Hernandez, Dennis Quaid and Cheech Marin, 'The Long Game' rolls into theaters Friday, April 12. The film's nationwide release comes with its share of accolades. Last year, it won the Narrative Spotlight Audience Award at the annual South by Southwest Film Festival. And April 9, it's slated to screen at the White House.
