Grimston Grimston was a settlement in the Domesday Book, in the hundred of Bassetlaw and the county of Nottinghamshire. It had a recorded population of 17 households in 1086, and is listed under 4 owners in Domesday Book. Raleigh The village of Raleigh was located between Southwell and Oxton and is remembered today largely owing to a strange, eerie phenomenon connected with its former church bells.
