For fans, Sunday’s derby against brings with it a sense of trepidation. City are last season’s treble winners, have lost only once at home in the league in more than two years, and have beaten United by a three-goal margin in three of the teams’ past six meetings. This is City’s golden era and United are a long way from theirs, but there have been plenty of high points for United and there is always the hope that they have players capable of earning an unlikely win at the Etihad.
He was a very good businessman, but he went about things totally the wrong way. He wasn’t happy that senior players like Quinny and Curley were on £5,000 a week and couldn’t wait to get rid of them.
