Separately, the Costume Institute has announced a two-part Met Gala for 2021 and 2022. Oh you spoil us! This year’s exhibition is called In America: A Lexicon of Fashion, and will open on 18 September. Depending on government guidelines, a slightly smaller celebration is planned for 13 September 2021.According to Vogue, the theme will celebrate American designers, as well cultural, political and social events that have occurred during the pandemic.
