The most mind-blowing optical illusions of 2022

These optical illusions are still melting our minds.

might suck you in for hours if you're not careful. It shows a series of grey dots arranged in a circle on a red background, with two of the dots a different colour at any one time. But all of the dots can be made to either change colour or to vanish completely if you look at the right spot.

Confused? Just choose one of the moving dots to look at. To make all of the dots change colour, follow the light grey dot that you've chosen as it moves around the circle. After around 30 seconds, the rest of the dots should turn a teal/green shade. Want rid of the dots altogether? Just stare at the cross in the centre of the circle for 30 seconds and all of the dots should disappear.It can be debated whether this one counts as an optical illusion, but it’s impressive all the same.
