The New Saints' hopes of qualifying for the next round of the Europa Conference League are nearly over after suffering a narrow defeat to Djurgarden. Despite a valiant effort and solid defense, a single goal from Tobias Gulliksen in the first half secured the victory for the Swedish side. The Saints had the support of 1,500 traveling fans, but the gap between them and Djurgarden, who finished fourth in the Swedish top flight and have strong European credentials, was too wide.

Although the Saints had defended valiantly and attacked where they could in the first period - you had to say the visitors deserved the half time advantage.
Harrison rolled the dice, throwing on Adam Wilson and Rory Holden with 20 minutes to go in a bid to snatch what would have been a superb point in the circumstances.
