He added: “I know I’ve rattled some cages in in the profession, but I think that giving people the choice about whether to see someone face to face, or over the phone or on a on a video call on Skype or Zoom, that’s not only good for the patient, it has the potential to free up GP time.”

Labour has promised to boost the NHS workforce by doubling the number of places a medical school, a policy paid for by limiting the ability to claim non-dom status for tax reasons.
