Never say never. I know, but I’m not sure if Apple’s ninth-gen iPad is going to get any cheaper than this before it’s outright gone. That’s because, after dropping to consecutive all-time lows of $229 and then $224, the tablet from 2021 with 64GB of storage is now selling for just $199 at Amazon and $199.99 at Best Buy. The 256GB configuration is also $130 off at Best Buy.
The program’s discounted prices often pale in comparison to regular deals you find at retailers, but the added gift card helps balance the scales or, in some instances, tip them slightly in Apple’s favor. For example, Apple’s student discount of $999 with a $150 gift card on the base 13-inch M3 MacBook Air matches Amazon’s price of $849 , but the new M2 iPad Air for $549 with a $100 gift card from Apple is a better deal than anywhere else right now.
