Marius Gustavson was jailed today for a minimum of 22 years for running the vile enterprise, which saw him make £300K from severing penises, testicles and legs.
Details about the gruesome Victorian terrace house of the 'Eunuch Maker', who ran an extreme body modification ring, have been revealed including testicles being hung in a frame above the bed.
Andrew, an IT worker in his 30s whose name has been changed, told the Guardian: 'It was a nice flat. It wasn't seedy, although he did subsequently build this little dungeon thing under the stairs. David Carruthers, a 61-year-old retired hospital porter, was involved in six procedures including four testicle removals. He worked for Ceredigion and Mid Wales NHS trust from 1991 to 2002 but had no medical qualifications.Gustavson's boyfriend, Jacob Crimi-Appleby, a 23-year-old from Epsom, froze off Gustavson's leg in February 2019 - forcing it to be amputated. The Norwegian would go on to claim £18,000 in disability payments up until 2021.
Procedures were videoed and posted on Gustavson's Eunuch Maker website which netted him more than £300,000 between 2017 and 2021. 'Aside from that, it was just like a normal flat. His bedroom was normal, clean, the wall was smothered with porn.'It was in his bedroom that he carried out several of the extreme body modifications, including a 'sub-incision' procedure on Andrew's penis in July 2020.
Judge Lucraft said: 'I am entirely satisfied that the motivation of all those involved were a mix of sexual gratification as well as financial reward.'Extreme body modification is linked to a subculture where men become 'nullos', short for genital nullification, by having their penis and testicles removed.After one of them, Gustavson cooked severed testicles for lunch which he ate in a salad he had prepared for himself, she said.
