The town centre playground will have to close as refurb works take place.
A popular play area on Oldham ’s high street will be temporarily closed while works take place to ‘transform’ the area. But a new pop-up playground will take its place over the Christmas period, Oldham Council has promised.
The revamp of the playground is due to be completed by summer 2025, according to the council. In the meantime, a pop-up playground is due to open just around the corner, opposite the Holland & Barretts store on the high street. "We’re transforming Oldham and there’s so much to look forward to. Your new-look town centre will also soon include an amazing new park with lots of green space all around it for children to enjoy and explore.
