The Queen has paid an emotional tribute to her late husband Prince Philip in her Christmas message. She described how there was ‘one familiar laugh missing’ in her most fulsome public tribute to the duke.
The 95-year-old head of state addressed the nation from the White Drawing Room in Windsor Castle. She wore the sapphire brooch that she donned on her honeymoon with the Duke of Edinburgh in 1947.
