The race takes place on Saturday afternoon, with a new starting time of 4pm. Other changes include reducing the field from 40 to 34 and modifying certain fences. The Randox Grand National is back as millions prepare to watch the biggest horse racing event of the year.

The race, the highlight of the three-day Grand National meeting at Aintree, takes place on Saturday afternoon. And this year the starting gun will fire earlier than usual as the race time has been moved forward to 4pm instead of the usual 5.15pm. It is one of several changes that have been made in a bid to improve safety for the horses and riders. Other changes include reducing the field from 40 to 34, and moving and lowering certain fences.Among the horses taking part this year is 2023 winner Corach Rambler who is the favourite.
