It's been rumoured that it could take on the old Wilko unit
The Range is set to open in Hucknall as a number of vacancies have been advertised for a new store. The home, leisure, and garden retailer has three sites in Nottinghamshire, including a store at Lady Bay Retail Park. Nottingham, Castle Retail Park in Radford and a store in Sutton-in-Ashfield.
The retailer has now listed a number of positions on Indeed, an online vacancy website, for a store in Hucknall, although it isn't clear where the store will be at the moment. Some of the vacancies, which were posted on October 24, include store operations manager, warehouse supervisor, store manager, retail assistant, and cleaning assistant.
The listing reads: “As a result of our expansion plans and our continued ongoing success we are looking to appoint a part time Retail Assistant. In this role you will be the face of The Range delivering great service and promoting The Range as a unique one-stop shopping experience.”Whilst it hasn't been confirmed where the store will be the vacancy advertisement has sparked speculation that it could be at the former Wilko site, in Central Walk, Hucknall.
In a previous statement released by PwC, Jane Steer, joint administrator, said: “Since our appointment, the feedback from customers and wider stakeholders during this challenging period has reinforced the fact that wilko remains a much loved and trusted brand within the UK. This sale to The Range will ensure that the wilko name lives on under their ownership and we wish The Range every success.”
