The Regime episode four introduces Keplinger.
SCREENRANT VIDEO OF THE DAY SCROLL TO CONTINUE WITH CONTENT Summary The Regime episode 4 finally introduces former chancellor Keplinger , and the ending sees Zubak redeem himself in Elena's eyes. Kate Winslet's new satirical comedy takes place in an unnamed country, where her character Chancellor Elena Vernham is slowly losing control. Through a mixture of vanity and arrogance, she is pushing the nation closer to the brink of collapse with each new bad decision.
Keplinger gifts Zubak a book on democracy and invites him to his regular midnight feasts, where the guards let him eat contraband food. It becomes clear throughout The Regime episode 4 that Keplinger has his eye on taking back his chancellorship, and is delighting in Elena's fall from grace. Despite selling himself as a selfless champion of democracy, Hugh Grant's Keplinger is clearly willing to bend his morals to regain power.
6 Keplinger Tried To Tempt Zubak To His Side The former chancellor picked the wrong person to recruit The standout sequence from The Regime's fourth episode involves Elena visiting Keplinger in prison, with Winslet and Grant bouncing off each other wonderfully. The two foes haul acidic insults, but sadly, Winslet and Grant only get one scene together.
This way, Elena makes it appear she is battling rebels intent on destroying her chancellorship, instead of protestors. The arrests only inspire more violence, and Elena calls for the palace to be locked down and secured while her forces deal with the ensuing riots.
