For his latest motivational stunt, Arteta brought a team of professional pickpockets to a club dinner and ordered them to steal the wallets and phones of the players. After the players discovered this, ArtetaOpposition fans have been in uproar about this bizarre method, seeing it as further proof of the increasing levels of quackery in football .
Arteta is also far from the only football coach prone to unusual ideas and embarrassing management-speech. Former Liverpool manager Brendan Rodgers is perhaps the best known offender.
