Coachman embarrassed Eugene and told him to get out of the ring and leave the WWE. As Eugene walked away, the legend's music hit, and the crowd popped for The Great One. The fans' favourite then walked down to the ring and laid out The Coach with the People's Elbow. Eugene recently looked back on the moment with Action Network and said it was the moment that 'made' him and skyrocketed his three-year run in the WWE.
"He was making movies in LA but took the time out to come down and work with somebody he didn’t know. That’s what top guys do, they reach down to somebody else and pull them up and that’s what the Rock did for me. After that, Eugene and the Rock became friends in the ring and Eugene was a made man, he made him a star."
"So, I am standing in the ring, the Rock is doing his stuff and all of a sudden, he puts the microphone by his hip and says you’ve got the next line and fed the microphone to me. That was the line that set me up, so it was awesome."
