Worth a visit whether you're an Outlander fan or not
Anyone who has seen even a single episode of Outlander will know that it takes full advantage of Scotland's natural beauty as a backdrop.
If you're an Outlander buff, you will immediately recognise Loch Katrine from the dramatic season two finale 'Dragonfly in Amber'. Specifically, it was where the scene in which the characters Roger and Brianna MacKenzie share a picnic and talk about the past was filmed. At Brenachoile Point, there is a wind-up speaker — as well as an information board — that provide information about Loch Katrine and why it is the "birthplace of Scottish tourism".
