The Script Surprise Pub Show After Take That Stadium Gig in Glasgow

After performing to over 50,000 fans as a support act for Take That's Circus tour, The Script surprised fans with an intimate set at Malone's Irish Bar in Glasgow, sharing videos of the impromptu performance that featured hits like Hall of Fame and Man In The Arena alongside fan interaction, before returning to the stadium for a second night opening slot.

The band opened for Take That on their Circus tour earlier in the evening before heading to Malone's Irish Bar in Glasgow to keep the party goingsurprised fans when they headed to the Sauchiehall Lane based pub for a more intimate performance after singing to crowds of over 50,000 just hours before.

Malone's have shared multiple videos of the band on their social media pages, captioning one clip: "We’ve a very special guest performance on right now here at Malones Glasgow. @thescriptofficial. What a way to start off the weekend!

"The Script also shared their own video of their surprise gig on Instagram as they wrote:"Glasgow you sang your hearts out at the stadium, so we decided to carry on the party at the pub. Loved hearing everyone sing Man In The Arena.

#thescriptfamily #maninthearena"Lead singer Danny O'Donoghue, 45, played guitar as he belted out some of the band's most famous tracks in the Glasgow pub including Hall of Fame, For the First Time and The Man Who Can't Be Moved. The video shared by the band also shows close ups of fans in the crowd as they can be seen dancing and singing along.

The Script were back at the stadium last night after they were the second support act for Take That on their 'The Circus' UK and Ireland tour last night. It comes almost seventeen years after The Script opened for the band back in June 2009 during Take That's original The Circus tour. They arrived on stage after the Go-Go's Berlinda Carlisle and played a 40-minute set list, including their new track Man In The Arena.

Danny certainly warmed the audience up by jumping into the crowd and also took one fan's phone to Facetime their ex during the band's performance of their famous track, Nothing. They will return to Hampden tonight on Saturday, June 13 to open for Take That on their second night at the stadium.
