The down to earth ‘staycation’ spot loved by Prince William and Kate Middleton
WHILE it might be expected that the royals go on flashy holidays abroad, this isn't always the case for some of the younger members.
The popular islands for holidaymakers are Tresco, St Mary's, Bryher, St Martin and St Agnes, with just 2,200 people living across the islands. Back on land, St Mary's has the Isles of Scilly Golf Club, as well as a Vineyard and Winery, along with bike rentals to get around the island. However, if you just fancy relaxing, you can head to one of the many stunning beaches - Tresco's Appletree Bay beach has white sands similar to the Caribbean, and Great Bay on St Martin's is often voted one of the best beaches in the UK.It isn't the easiest to get to the Isles of Scilly due to it's remote location - you can get there by ferry or by air.
