Danilo and Cerny tore up the Eredivisie together once upon a time and they could team up again
Rangers could be set to unlock something special by teaming Danilo up with Vaclav Cerny - for the first time since they tore up the Eredivisie together with FC Twente.
The two spent time together coming through the ranks at Ajax, though never played for the first-team together despite being a similar age. Cerny, a year older, was an early developer, and had already broken into the Amsterdam first team, and then moved onto Utrecht permanently, before Danilo could make his senior debut in 2020. It wouldn't be long, however, before their paths crossed again.
They directly combined for eight of those, Cerny assisting four for Danilo and the Brazilian striker repaying the favour with four of his own - the pick of the bunch this brilliant back-heeled layoff against Feyenoord.
