Strange, but apparently true
You may be wondering what the headline is all about, but yes, Mike Tyson may have taught someone how to punch in Blackpool and then, simply, vanished.
Talking on the 'Got A Problem Mate' podcast, hosted by comedians Bilal Zafar and Joey Page, Bilal spoke about a time he visited Blackpool Pleasure Beach with his family. He said he "had a row" with his family and so, went off into the arcades at nighttime. At 19 years old, he was playing on the boxing machine at the arcade, saying he was "doing really badly". Bilal continued to recount that some lads on a stag do were finding his misfortune funny. However, he said "one guy" that was standing nearby to him offered some tips on how to get a higher score, using a different technique. Bilal said that he was told to "do it like this" and "just look straight ahead and do it.
After listening to the advice, he "concentrated and I did the technique he told me" which ended up breaking the score record on the machine. This revelation came as a huge surprise to his fellow hosts, who didn't seem to believe his anecdote after he had finished recalling it. This prompted Bilal to repeat "I swear", as he promises that the story panned out exactly as described.
