It comes as Australia continues to battle a housing crunch, with rental vacancies as a whole at a low, and meagre supply driving up prices. 9News
The Mornington Peninsula fell from three per cent vacancies in June to 2.3 per cent in July, a drop of 0.7 per cent.
"This decrease in vacancy rates could make it more challenging for potential renters to find suitable properties," Suburbtrends founder Kent Lardner said. "While the trend may not come as a shock, especially for those actively searching for a rental property, it certainly doesn't make their task any easier."Armidale in northern New South Wales dropped 0.7 per cent, from a 2.8 per cent vacancy rate to 2.1 per cent.Clarence Valley in NSW, including the beach town of Yamba , dropped 0.7 per cent, from 2.3 per cent vacancies to 1.6 per cent.NSW's South Coast, including Bateman's Bay , dropped 0.7 per cent from 2.
