However, today’s conservative movement are not merely stupid, they are uncivilised. Today’s modern Tory, typified by people like Johnson and Rees-Mogg, is a barbarian who has wilfully abandoned any and all civilised norms and who actually believes that those who do attempt to uphold decency, integrity and a modicum of self-respect are the stupid ones.
The Tories give stupidity and barbarism respectability, allowing them to promote public policies that are manifestly stupid, barbarous and harmful as civilised and necessary, while providing licence and permission to the stupid to employ unacceptable and anti-social language and behaviour, enabling them to parade their stupidity and barbarity without fear of accountability.

Rather than rising above the stupid and barbaric, Labour are embracing them and seek to replace the Tories as the stupid party by courting the stupid vote. It is time for the movement to call a spade a spade and unmask these people for what they are.
