According to Evan Evans, the company has seen a 27 per cent increase in Scotland-wide searches since the third season debuted on January 1. It has also reported a 44 per cent surge in searches for Edinburgh-related content since the start of the year. With the highly anticipated finale of The Traitors set to air this Friday, the operator attributes the rise in interest to the show's unprecedented popularity and its captivating portrayal of Scottish locations. The Traitors exploded onto screens as a national phenomenon, with this year’s premier episode captivating five million viewers.
