, Theo enthused:"It’s nice to see such a diverse cast and, well, I tick all the boxes: gay, mixed heritage, I’m northern! But, for me, it was about showing that diversity is key in the modern world."
He explained:"The gay community still gets overlooked massively. In some countries, you still can’t marry the same sex. "But just knowing it’s okay to cry on TV, it’s okay to be a man and to cry on TV, let alone be a gay man and cry on TV, I just want to be that beacon of light for people and for them to know that you can talk about your problems and you shouldn’t be ashamed.
"Hopefully the show will give me what I need to get my voice out there and bring more traction to the LGBTQ+ community, hopefully I can be a new icon!"
