Topping Airbnb's list is Allerdale, an area in the north-west of the Lake District. Remarkably, it is not an over-populated area of the national park, despite all it has on offer for visitors. You can also discover the Solway Coast Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty during your visit, with long stretches of sandy beaches and wetlands to explore.Second on the list is the town of Flintshire in Wales, home to some of the most interesting historic sites - including the Grade One listed Gladstone library in Hawarden.
