During quieter times, there can often be a number of open seats available - so where should you choose to sit?
Where’s your favourite place to sit on the tube? If you’re travelling on the London Underground, especially during rush hour, you could be lucky to find standing room in the carriage, let alone an empty seat. But during quieter times, there can often be a number of open seats available – so where should you choose to sit? Regular passenger Olamide Grace posted a video discussing seating options on the Tube which has stirred up quite the debate over the ‘best seat’ on the train.
’ And what about perching on a ledge next to the end doors? ‘The ledge is great if there’s nowhere to sit, but do you sit on it or do you stand? Because my legs are always dangling like humpty dumpty over the wall,’ she said. ‘I don’t like being close to the door because people are always pushing up on you.’ While not a place to sit, Olamide said the central pole at the entrance to the carriage is a great place to stand – even if it is ‘always sticky’.
