The Wanted's Max George fights tears as fulfils tragic bandmate Tom Parker's 'dying wish'
The Wanted's Max George became emotional during an episode of Tipping Point: Lucky Stars, dedicating his win to his late friend and bandmate Tom Parker.
After successfully gaining £6,900, Max opted to keep that money, rather than risk it all in a chance to win big. He told the show's host Ben Shephard: "I am happy with that. That was the right decision."To which Max emotionally replied: "It is going to the Brain Tumour Charity. My very, very close friend, Tom, passed away recently from a brain tumour, and they’re at the forefront of brain tumour research.
Ben replied: "I’m really thrilled that you got to come and play in his memory. I remember what a great guy he was, and he loved the show, so I am chuffed to bits you could be here for him.It comes after Max opened up about a potential The Wanted reunion, during an interview with Christine Lampard on Lorraine.
They then released a special version of their emotional hit Gold Forever in memory of Tom, but that is the last release from them.
