The Who feature on 12 special edition Royal Mail stamps to mark the band's 60th anniversary.
Royal Mail has revealed 12 stamps that feature some of The Who's popular album covers and shots from their live performances.Within five years, they went from performing club shows to headlining the Woodstock festival in the US and becoming the biggest box-office draw in the world. Pete Townshend, Keith Moon, Roger Daltrey and John Entwistle were all born in London in the 1940s
Daltrey said: "The artwork on the album sleeves was almost as important to the success of the record as the music.The Who's Who Are You album cover from 1978 is featured on one of the stamps "At last my stamping has been honoured properly, and will help letters travel through time and space, just as we have."
